Our approach to copyright

We respect the rights of copyright owners. If you believe material made available through iptvpilot.ca or the IPTV Pilot service infringes a copyright you own or represent, please send us a notice. We accept notices under the Copyright Act (Canada), including the notice-and-notice provisions, and under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

What to include in your notice

Where to send it

Email your notice to [email protected] with “Copyright notice” in the subject line. Incomplete notices may take longer to process, so please include everything listed above.

What happens next

We review every complete notice, remove or disable access to material where appropriate, and reply to confirm what action we have taken. Where a notice relates to a customer’s account, we forward it to the customer as the Copyright Act requires and keep the records the Act asks us to keep.

Counter-notices

If material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, the affected person can send a counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the material and where it appeared, include a statement that it was removed by mistake, give the sender’s name, address and telephone number, and be signed.

Repeat infringement

We may end the accounts of customers who repeatedly infringe copyright, in line with our terms of service.

Please be accurate

Sending a notice or counter-notice that knowingly misrepresents the facts can make the sender liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider taking legal advice first.
